Wish granted indeed!

The four year old nephew has been bothering his mother about buying him scooter for Christmas.  He saw a scooter at my aunt’s place.  Since then he has been asking his mother to buy him one.  Four months had passed and we thought he forgot it.  But when his mother asked him of what gift he wants for Christmas, he answered scooter.  OMG! Scooter is on top of his list.  We just smiled at him and said, his memory is awesome.haha!  Since Christmas day is his birthday, my sister (his mother) is considering of buying him scooter.  This will be his Christmas and birthday gift.

The sister already bought the gift he wants for Christmas.  They keep it in the safe place and will give him on his birthday.  Though he knows what gift he wants, still it would surely surprise him that his mother give him the present he wants.  The image on the scooter is his favorite carton show Thomas and friends.  I am pretty sure that this kid, my nephew, would be the happiest kid in the world.  One lucky kid in the world to have a loving and generous parents.  Indeed a wish granted.  I can see a smiling eyes and mouth this Christmas.

Knows how to open and operate my phone

Indeed the new generations of today are very much techie.  At a young age, they are more aware of what is latest in the technology like gadgets.  They already know how to open it, operate it and play with it.  Not like before, the kids today are so techie with it comes to games.  They do not like playing with their toys anymore because they prefer to play the games downloaded in the mobile phones, tablets, Ipads and other gadgets.  It is sad to know that the old ways of playing is slowly fading.  But in in all fairness to us, in our house, the sister and brother still buy toys for their kids.

Instead of allowing their kids to play games on the mobile phone, tablets and laptop, they are encourage their kids to play educational toys.  It is better to play and see using the real objects than seeing on the gadgets.  However, the kids gets so curious because they saw us playing with our gadgets.  In my case, when I play games in my tablet, the 2 years old nephew is on my lap and watched me playing.  Been doing it when I get bored and lonely at home.  I am not aware that the nephew is growing.  Now the nephew wants to play with my tablet.  I give it to him once and I am surprised because he already knows how to open and operate when he wants to play games.  And loves to play with it.  Yes, it is my fault and I need to find ways to make him interested playing of the educational toys his mother bought for him/them.  Good luck to me.  Lesson learned:  Do not underestimate the kids of new generation.

He steps on it

A week ago when I attended a mass in the church, I brought with me my two years old nephew. At the church, he doesn’t sit still. He keeps on running here and there. I just let him do it because the more I said no, the more he will do the things he does and he will just create noise. Kids are kids, right? Anyways, during the communion the guitarist is playing the guitar when suddenly it stops. Then the guitarist notices that the guitar cable was pulled out because the nephew is accidentally stepping on it. This is what the nephew gets from keep on running. After the incident, he never went to the area where the guitar cable is. I will still bring the nephew to the church but will tell him not to go to the dangerous area, or tell him to sit still while the mass on going.

Having hearing test

One of the tests that the newly born babies have to take is the hearing test.  This is to know if the baby has hearing problems.  This kind of test is good for the baby and the parents.  Early detection is better so that the parents are aware and will do something about it.  This is because there are lots of children suffering from illnesses few days or months after giving birth.  Because of this issues, the series of tests are being done at the hospital after gave birth.  This is good news for all the mothers and the parents out there.

The sister just gave birth last January 16, 2013, and before we check out from the hospital, the nephew undergone series of tests to know if he is fine.  Before we check out, the nephew is having his hearing test.  Technology is really evolving and still developing and discovering new gadgets that would make our life easy.  Though it is not good to be more dependent on the technologies we are using, but it does help us in so many ways.  Let us just be a responsible user and not be more dependent to technology gadgets.  We just enjoyed it while it is here and continue to explore.  The apparatus that is using for hearing test is one awesome one.

Nebulizer is a must

Every time the nephew attacked by asthma, the father always borrowed nebulizer from neighbors.  We started borrowing since the second daughter of my brother.  But the niece outgrown it and luckily asthma is not attacking her.  Though pediatrician told us that there is a possibility that the niece will outgrow this illness.  Luckily she did and we are happy about it.  However, the nephew has asthma also.  We detected it when the nephew is six months old.  Sometimes we brought him to the clinic when he has difficulty in breathing.  Same as what the pediatrician told, hopefully the nephew will outgrown it.

Unfortunately, the nephew is again visited by asthma two days ago.  The father borrowed again the nebulizer from neighbor.  We have done it many times and the father thought that nebulizer in the house is a must.  We do not have any plans of buying one but keep borrowing from the neighbor is so hassle.  Good thing that every time the nephew attacked by asthma, the neighbor’s son isn’t.  It would be easy if we have our  own nebulizer to use because we no longer borrow from neighbor and will not bring the nephew to the clinic every time he is having a hard time in breathing int he middle of the night.  Since we are thinking of buying a nebulizer, I thought of doing search of the good quality and affordable in our pocket.
